Graphic Design Catalogs

What is a Catalog?

A catalog (sometimes spelled also as catalogue), is a comprehensive list of pictures and descriptions of the items offered by a company or business - such as products or services - found in each and every page. They come in different varieties such as: plant catalogs, book catalogs, mail-order catalogs and more; and are categorized accordingly as to the product itself.

Catalogs come in all shapes and sizes with varying custom designs, depending on the objective of the company and suited for the merchandise that they are trying to market. Although the basics usually include:
1) Descriptive content
2) Stipulated price
3) Page by page colorful designs
4) Company logo and other artwork, showcasing in particular the goods that the company wants to promote to its target buyers.
5) Full front-on cover with a combination of artistic designs in vibrant colors

These are some of the features you can find in catalogs; but the key factor that makes your copies sell is in the graphic designs.

In your graphic design catalogs, you must be able to achieve balance and visual impact altogether. This is possible through proper color contrast, tasteful layout, high quality images, and uniqueness and creativity in presentation. Here, a thought-out and well-planned designing phase can do wonders for your graphic design catalogs.
